We are looking for: Muskoka Collective is actively seeking a friendly, analytical and detail-oriented person to assist the Head of Operations at Muskoka Collective in the position of Assistant Manager. The Assistant Manager reports to the Head of Operations and delivers our brand values through supporting our members and maintaining our coworking space. The strong community player creates a great member experience while executing operational tasks with excellence.

Position: Assistant Manager
Location: 16 Dominion Street, Bracebridge
Hours: Weekdays PT, 25-30 hrs./wk.

Experience and Requirements           
                                                                                          
  • Minimum 2 years experience with increasing responsibility in either a customer service or management role
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Technical aptitude. Able to learn and work with a variety of hardware and software applications
  • Experience with written content generation in a business environment
  • Understands the importance of Brand and corporate communication
  • Eager to self-learn new techniques to automate member management efforts
  • Passion for building strong communities
  • High level of ethics, empathy and dependability
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Professional demeanor
Responsibilities include: Member Management, Building Management and, Daily Operations

Member Management – Foster relationships in the coworking space. Facilitate member-to-member and member-to-partner connections to create a strong community.

  • Executes membership sales strategy
  • Enforces member policies and procedures
  • Books and conduct tours
  • Welcomes and COVID screens guests and visitors
  • Manage and facilitate meeting room bookings (including IT support)
  • Member onboarding on premise and in system (policies, procedures, building access, invoicing, payment, printing, Wi-Fi, membership portal)
  • Introduces new members to the community and facilitates connections
Building Management – Work with Head of Operations to keep building facilities operating at optimal performance.

  • Proactively manages ordering/stocking of consumables while balancing an operational budget
  • Coordinates building service repairs and maintenance
  • Coordinates cleaning, snow removal
  • Initiates innovations and new procedures to achieve most efficient practices
  • Provide members with IT and facility support
Daily Operations – General shared tasks with Head of Operations

  • Accept packages, sort mail and deliver
  • Open and close space
  • Keep floors clean, clear and safe
  • Keep space tidy throughout the day. Stock: coffee, bathrooms, kitchen, and handle waste management
  • Follow cleaning and disinfecting schedule in compliance with the current Government COVID-19 protocol for community spaces
  • Front desk duties: Answer phones and field general queries
  • All other duties as assigned
